We are trying to understand and explain the importance of museums, libraries and archives to business in London, and especially to business innovation. We are going to use this understanding to share the best of what is being done now, develop new ways of working and remove obstacles to cooperation.
In the first phase of this programme we’re gathering evidence in various forms, the most important of which will be firsthand reports from the frontiers where businesses and cultural institutions meet. We want to hear about the whole range of interactions: regular services and happy accidents, missed opportunities and untapped possibilities. We are interested in anything that you do, or would like to do, that will help to make for more inventive and effective encounters, whether it’s in person or online, systematic or serendipitous.

This isn’t really about everyday business and reference: the role of libraries in teaching-how is well understood. We want to show the importance of the cultural sector to creativity, inventiveness and innovation. If you have a point of view or a story to tell, please join us.
